Our Story
Biomechanics specialist Bente wanted to find a better way to help her athletes avoid pain and injury.
After analysing thousands of foot strikes, she developed a new insole design to help her athletes train without the usual pain and setbacks.
Her son-in-law Nick, a keen runner who’d had his own injuries, heard how much this new insole was helping her athletes. He knew other runners would want the same support. So he founded Enertor to bring the technology to the world.
Working alongside world-leading scientists, Nick and Bente relentlessly refined the original design to engineer an insole with revolutionary shock absorption, exceptional energy return and feather-light performance - the PX1 Running insole.
Since then, Enertor insoles have supported thousands of athletes - from everyday runners to Olympic champions and Team GB.
What started with an insole has now grown into a wider pursuit: to build science-led tools that help athletes overcome their limits and achieve their impossible, whatever that may be.
Usain Bolt
Usain started working with Enertor in the run-up to the 2016 Olympics.
He wanted to stay injury-free whilst undertaking some of the hardest training of his life. Having felt the difference, he soon became an ambassador and part-owner of the business.
