Most run clubs do a few leg swings and send you on your way. We do things differently.
The Enertor Run Club is a coached, structured running session designed for runners who want to genuinely improve, work hard, and be part of a community that genuinely has your back.
Whether you're finding your stride for the first time or chasing a new personal best, this is the community that will get you there.

🗓 Frequency: Every third Wednesday @12.15pm
🏃 Ability: All levels welcome
⏱ Duration: ~45 minutes. Stay for all of it or just the part that fits your lunch break
What Makes the Enertor Run Club Different?
Every session is led by expert coach April James-Welsh and built around the things that actually make you a better, more resilient runner.
Each session includes:
- Expert run coaching - structured sessions at every ability level, designed to challenge you without leaving anyone behind
- Strength & conditioning - targeted exercises to build the power and stability your running needs
- Injury prevention & recovery - a proper cool-down incorporating guided stretching, because recovery is part of training
The full session runs for approximately 45 minutes, but you're welcome to stay for as long as your schedule allows. Perfect for a lunch break!
Meet Your Coach: April James-Welsh
April has been coaching runners for over 20 years across every distance, from track sprints to the marathon. With a 5km PB of 17:43, a 10km of 36:57, and a marathon time of 2:55, she knows what it takes to perform. But April is far from focused on times alone.
A Clapham Common regular for 30 years, April has deep roots in this running community; she's previously organised 5km races, 1km events, and fun runs for local children. Bringing that community spirit back to the Common is exactly what the Enertor Run Club is about.
What sets April apart is her holistic approach to running. A long-time Enertor insole wearer herself, she puts injury prevention, recovery, and strength work at the heart of every session; because staying on your feet is just as important as getting faster.
April is also available by email between sessions for any running-related questions, whether that's training advice, injury concerns, or just figuring out your next goal.
