Best new running shoes Spring 2018

Winter can be hard on shoes. If your old faithful pair has seen it’s 500th mile, it might be time to say goodbye. Are you looking for the best new running shoes Spring 2018? We’ve found some of the best new running shoes on the market for the Spring 2018 running season.

Altra Duo

Road runners will get a kick out of the new Altra Duos. Coming in at 224g, they are incredibly light but offer exceptional padding and support to diffuse impact shock. The 30mm stack will keep your feet and knees protected. We love the zero drop and wide toe box, which give you plenty of opportunity to use a mid- or forefoot strike with ease.

Hoka One One Mach

If you prefer a firmer shoe with a bit less give in the forefoot, the Mach might be your best new running shoes Spring 2018. Another shoe designed for road runners in mind, the Mach offers plenty of shock absorbance coupled with durability. We love the mesh upper which is flexible and breathes well, while keeping support firm and consistent.

Salomon S/Lab Ultra

These are the trail shoes you save for race day. The S/Lab Ultras are highly technical trail shoes that offer a very firm toe box for accuracy on slippery trails. The lugs grip anything under them and are very reliable in wet and muddy conditions. An exceptional inclusion, the ‘wings’ allow for natural foot swelling over Ultra-level distances while maintaining good hold and no rubbing.

Saucony Peregrine 8

The newest edition of Saucony’s Peregrines are the best new running shoes Spring 2018 for everyday trail runners. The 6mm outsole lugs keep you steady on trails and grass, while the EVERUN topsole helps energy return to keep you running for longer with less effort. The 4mm heel drop gives you a natural gait with flexibility upon landing.

What people are saying about Enertor insoles?

The insoles themselves are designed well with functioning technology that can have real performance benefits. However, I found the insoles slightly too thick (football boots) which gave a feeling of vulnerability towards twisting or rolling my ankle. With slight modification to the depth of the product I think this could be potentially be a good, beneficial insole.

Fantastic insole – helping me in my marathon training
Have been using Enertor for a couple of weeks now and they are incredible, very comfortable and I feel like I have a spring in my step. I had a hip injury earlier this year but since using the insoles haven’t even had a twinge in my hip and give them a lot of credit for that. As marathon training can be tough on your body, so nice to know I am protecting it as best I can with these insoles.

    Very comfy
Found these very comfy and cushioned but did slightly supinate my feet. On one leg this felt fine on other it took a bit of getting use to. I used these at the end of an Olympic triathlon where the 10k run was very tough and the comfort was noted. Only problem being with the thickness of the insole, when I ran without socks this lifted my heel up in shoe and gave me a blister where I can normally run in my triathlon trainers without socks. I’d only use these for longer triathlons where I would definitely be wearing socks.

    Great insoles
After experiencing plantar fasciitis in my right foot, I would try anything. These insoles are decreasing my pain and offer nice support. I would recommend these to friends and other runners!

  • Alisha

    Love these!!
These are absolutely fantastic!! I have suffered badly with shin splints for a number of years and I have finally found insoles that help with the pain and decrease the amount I suffer from them! Would recommend these to anyone!

    Great Support
Foot feels supported and secure and the insoles appear to be very durable

    Ultra distance
Enertor insoles give excellent energy return! Fatigue is a main issues over running ultra distances, Enertor insoles definitely reduce this by cushioning heel impact and helping a better foot strike which is more mid-fore foot than heel. I’ll definitely be using them for future 50 & 100 Mile ultras.

    Amazing difference
I have been using these insoles to train and race in and they make a remarkable difference I can feel the extra support given by them to my heal and my arch. As a young runner I have had issues with the pressure on my feet becoming painful and by using these insoles it has helped tremendously and I have been running faster times. I would definitely recommend these.

    Total Knee Replacement.
Had a replacement knee July 15 and have started to get back into sporting action, playing Badminton and touch rugby. These insoles most definitely eased the pressure on both knees cushioning the impact to the point of being very comfortable. Great absorption qualities for an old sportsman like me.
